AUTUMN 2024 – 2025 CHARITY WALKS (Out until end of March 2025
54177 – 54192 Dartmoor Ruins Series 2 – in aid of the Child Brain Injury Trust A short circular family walk of just under 3 miles starting from Leedon Tor car park, the walk crosses the road, passes below and around Peek Hill, and turns towards Leather Tor. Then alongside Leather Tor returning to Leedon Tor car park, again crossing the road. There is a Starter and bonus stamp with the clue sheet, 13 stamps on the moor, a thank you stamp in the Fox Tor Cafe , Princetown. The walk is on site from 31 October 2024 to 31 March 2025. The walk is approx 3 miles for 16 stamps plus a starter stamp and will be out until 30th September 2025. The clues are £3 and payment can be made by cheque payable to Leanne Borthwick, with an SAE to 4 Oak Road, Tavistock, PL19 9EZ. I can also accept payment via paypal. We have other charity walks applied for, but we are waiting for National Park to return the official confirmation sheet to allow us to site the charity walk.
“100 CLUB” FOR DOGS. Membership of “The 100 Club” has been extended to include our canine friends. Dogs who have visited 100 different “Letterboxes” with their owners can now become members of the 100 Club. They will then be entitled to wear “100 Club” dog tags on their collars. The reverse side can be engraved at an additional cost of 5p per letter or figure.
