54201 – 54217 Guess The Tor  (This walk Previously on Sale Autumn 2024)

In aid of Whitchurch Primary School Parking is at Nuns Cross car park and follows the track down to Crazywell pool and back along the Devonport Leat. The walk is approx 3 miles for  16 stamps plus a starter stamp and will be out until 30th September 2025. The clues are £3 and payment can be made by cheque payable to Leanne Borthwick, with an SAE to 4 Oak Road, Tavistock, PL19 9EZ. I can also accept payment via paypal. 54554 – 54562  Dartmoor Outdoor Festival Charity Walk 2025

Disasters on Dartmoor  8 stamps plus a thank you with clues in a circular walk of about 3 miles in the Pork Hill area. This walk has been organised as part of the Dartmoor Outdoor Festival (running 29th August – 5th September) and is raising money for Devon Air Ambulance. Clue sheet is £2.50, contact Hannah on explore@dartmooroutdoorfestival.co.uk for details. 54426 – 54441  Dartmoor Ruins Series 3 – In aid of Veterans Coastal Retreats Charity. 

The walk heads up to and circles Little Mis Tor. The walk starts from Four Winds car park, carefully crossing the road, and heads in a north westerly direction, passing close to the end of the large gully, continuing uphill, following the wall to the corner . It turns east to pass to the north of Little Mis Tor, and continues heading towards another wall corner. The walk turns south to follow the wall downhill, then turns south westerly and heading back towards Four Winds car park. There are  16 stamps, 13 on the Moor, a starter, a starter bonus (VCR logo) and a thank you, in the Fox Tor cafe. The walk is available from 30 March 2025 to 31 October 2025. 54566 – 54578  Devon Search & Rescue Team Tavistock – What could go wrong?

An easy to moderate (in places) walk of approximately 3.5 miles around Little and Great Trowlesworthy Tors, in aid of Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Tavistock. The walk begins at Blackaton Cross Car Park by the China Clay Works (SX 570 632), follows the track NE past the big pond to the foot of Great Trowlesworthy Tor, then leads boxers on an anti-clockwise loop of the Trowlesworthies and hugs the leat on the final straight. The walk costs £3, has 12 boxes and 1 title stamp included with the clue sheet. ‘Mabel’s Cheat Sheet’ including photos of Mabel the dog posing by all box sites is also available for £1 to those in need of extra help. A family walk of approximately 3½ miles in aid of the PDSA (registered charity 208217) that treats sick and injured animals.10 detailed stamps including starter stamp. The route starts from Yellow Mead Farm car park to Great Mis Tor and returns to Yellow Mead Farm car park. This circular charity walk is in aid of Hector’s House Cat Rescue, registered Charity number 1192317. Funds will go towards the huge veterinary bills and feeding costs etc that are incurred in the daily running of such a charity. An easy family walk of about 3½ miles in the King’s Tor area in aid of Force Cancer Charity (registered charity 1140676). The walk starts from the car park at Yellowmead Farm track entrance heading South below Foggintor Quarries to King Tor Platform. Continuing South West towards the dismantled railway below Swelltor Quarries, following this track North West to King’s Tor. Heading back to the track below Foggintor Quarries and return to the car park via Yellowmead Farm track. There are 12 boxes on the moor plus one Thank You stamp. I am running the Great North Run in September 2025 in order to raise money for this wonderful charity Mind – the Mental Health Charity. A walk of about 4.5K around Little Mis Tor consisting of 14 boxes and a Starter Stamp in aid of Mind – The Mental Health Charity. Suggested parking at Four Winds Car Park.
